Kathy Yoshihara is a local Southern California mixed media artist, with a background in graphic design. She studied painting, sculpture, graphic arts at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her current focus is combining ceramics and gourds to create her version of kokeshi dolls. She is inspired by her Japanese American roots. Her work explores the influence of her heritage and upbringing on her life. She hopes her art will bring a smile to those who view her work.
